Vishvantara Julia Lewis
Feb 8th, 2010 by Vishvantara

My name is Vishvantara - that’s my ordained Buddhist name - my civil name is Julia Lewis. Some bits of writing are here, divided into the three categories you can see labelled up and to the right of this piece.
In January we launched an exciting new project called ‘Poetry East’, which is a new poetry venue at the London Buddhist Centre showcasing the work of well-known contemporary poets, attempting to create optimum conditions to hear their work and exploring the relationship between poetry and spiritual life.
The next reading at Poetry East will be given by the poet Hugo Williams on Saturday June 19th. For details see www.poetryeast.net
“We must accept our reality as vastly as we possibly can; everything, even the unprecedented, must be possible within it. This is in the end the only kind of courage required of us: the courage to face the strangest, most unusual, most inexplicable experiences that can meet us.”
Rilke
